July 15, 2021 – New York, USA – SECURAM, a global innovator and industry leader in smart home security, has rolled out a cultural preservation program to help protect the historical estates and precious artworks at the Planting Fields Foundation in New York state. This summer, The Planting Fields Foundation in New York State will be among the first group to receive SECURAM’s donation of smart home security suite, including its renowned smart hub, fingerprint activated Touch smart lock, and the Door/Window sensors.
As a company conscious about its social responsibility, SECURAM is always looking for ways to increase its involvement in social programs, donations, and meaningful partnerships.
“We are honored to be trusted by the Planting Fields Foundation to help protect this historic building with our suite of smart security products.” says Jeremy, SECURAM’s sales director.
Included in the National Register of Historic Places, the well-known Planting Fields Foundation is a magnificent Gold Coast estate equipped with art, architecture, and green landscapes preserved from the 1920’s. Located in Oyster Bay, New York, Planting Fields is one of a few surviving estates on Long Island with its original acreage and buildings intact, including Coe Hall, a 65-room Tudor Revival mansion designed by architects Alexander Walker and Leon Gillette. The interior of the house is a showcase of artistry and craftsmanship and features a distinctly American aesthetic through original ironwork commissioned by Samuel Yellin, with murals painted by artists Robert Winthrop Chanler and Everett Shinn.
To ensure the continued protection of its 409 acre estate, SECURAM’s generous donation includes remotely controlled devices that can be managed over WiFi networks, state-of-the-art fingerprint Touch smart locks, and a smart hub suite providing a range of connected systems that enable the foundation to monitor the property through smart devices.
One of the donations is SECURAM’s signature lock, the SECURAM Touch, which allows users to easily unlock their homes and properties through its proprietary touch-to-open technology. The first of its kind, this smart deadbolt technology integrates wirelessly, allowing only approved users to unlock doors with their pre-programmed fingerprint. Additionally, the remote connectivity is protected through an AES 128-bit encryption plus a unique one time code encryption algorithm for an additional layer of security. Further, the physical housing of the deadbolt lock is made from milled metal and a stainless steel bolt which prevents intrusive tampering.
The updated SECURAM Touch that the Planting Fields Foundation will be using is part of SECURAM’s comprehensive smart home security suite. This robust suite includes biometric smart locks, perimeter security sensors for doors and windows, and smart safe devices to monitor precious valuables within a home safe or vault. Through these devices, SECURAM offers top-quality security options for multiple layers of home protection inside and outside the estate.
Science and culture have always been complementary forces, and SECURAM is incredibly excited to offer this technology to protect and preserve art and culture. SECURAM will continue to contribute to the community by encouraging more companies in the tech industry to preserve history and culture.
“We appreciate the support from SECURAM, and look forward to much deeper co-operation in the near future.” Says Director of Planting Fields Foundation, Maritoni Barnes.
